Szeged
Process The Szeged process was set
in motion by the Government of Hungary and the Special Coordinator of the
Stability Pact. The goal of this process is to reach out to the democratic
forces at local level in the FRY and to ease their isolation by connecting
them with European partners. The main target groups are representatives of
the opposition-governed municipalities and the independent media. The
process includes a series of conferences and a set of accompanying
measures such as the provision of humanitarian and other assistance
through sister-city relationships. The process will be a long-term
endeavor.
